Job Description

Test SW Engineer 

You will be part of the Technical Order Fulfillment team supporting the introduction of new products into contract manufacturing facilities. In this key role, the Test Software Engineer will be responsible and accountable for timely introduction of new products to manufacturing operations and facilitation of a smooth flow of product information among engineers, manufacturing, and materials management while achieving critical performance goals of highest levels of quality, product data integrity, budget & time, and time to market.

As a member of the OF engineering team, you will follow established techniques to design, develop and improve the products, processes and components that will continue to support Keysight as the world leader in test and measurement technologies. In the role of Test SW Engineer, you will create and modify test software to resolve technical problems, improve yields and maintain the integrity of the product’s design. You are also responsible for supporting, product qualification, and production line verification.

You will focus on the software development and implementation of complex calibration and measurement algorithms for high-frequency signals, as well as for Access Point stimulus & response manufacturing test applications. The design of the complete measurement solution is part of your responsibility. It includes the definition of the required equipment, tools and algorithms and embedding your solution in our manufacturing environment.

You should have a passion for measurement technology, know-how in RF and electrical telecommunication science, like working with hardware and be able to apply the standard software development tools.

Qualifications

You will need to be educated to a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the Engineering or Computer Science fields with a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably with some NPI manufacturing experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a cross functional environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and software development skills.
  • Knowledge of remote instrument programming in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with Linux, Scripting languages (Perl/Python/Ruby).
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Some experience with Microsoft Operating systems and Development tools (VS).
  • Ability prioritize day to day activities balancing immediate needs with long term project goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office software (MS Word, Excel).

Desired:

  • Knowledge of WiFi measurements and standards, including calibration and correction.
  • Experience with C#, and Windows .NET.
  • Experience developing a mix of test software for RF and Digital boards and systems.
  • Background in RF circuit theory.
  • Experience with webservices (SOAP, HTTP/JSON).
  • A proactive team player who thrives on delivering solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record of learning new concepts and theories.
  • A combination of technical knowledge of engineering theory and hands on approach.
