Maintenance Techs – Levels I, II and III - Memphis, TN

VOLT has partnered with a globally recognized electronics and appliances design and manufacturing company during its business growth to identify top candidates for Maintenance, Controls, Tool & Die, and Multi Craft Techs.  Apply TODAY for immediate consideration!

Positions are on 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm) 


Maintenance Techs I and II will support equipment downtime or upgrades that involve electrical hardware and software controls using Allen Bradley and various other programs.  They will use complicated measuring instruments to aid in the manufacturing or production process.


We are seeking Maintenance Techs from all levels of mechanical experience to include:   multi-craft, punch press, tool & die, hydraulics, fabrication, extrusion, PLC’s, furnace, waste water, powder coat, assembly and conveyor systems.  If you are experienced in some or all of these skills below, please apply today!  Maintenance Techs must provide their own tools.  


•    Employee will exhibit strong working knowledge and skills in manufacturing to perform mechanical testing and diagnostics for:
o    Hydraulics
o    Pneumatics
o    Basic relay logic
o    PLC control systems
o    Machine control systems
o    Electrical distribution
o    Basic structures


•    Employee skills will include:


o    Layout of complex controls
o    Service/install electrical and mechanical forming and assembly equipment
o    Ability to diagnose trouble events, determine root cause, make necessary repairs
o    Use of complicated measuring instruments
o    Fundamentals of pneumatics, component repair and basics of pneumatic control logic
o    Hydraulic fundamental through motion controls
o    Welding, cutting, prep-work
o    PLC controls, VFD fundamentals, press control circuits, clutch and brake operations, machine conveyor systems, belt over and belt under roller.
o    Fluid pumps, basic valves, heat exchangers, plate frame and tube systems
o    Robotic fundamentals, setup, operation
o    Ability to read schematics and CAD drawings


•    Multi-Craft and Tool & Die skills will include:
o    Utilize CNC systems, conventional equipment, hand and hand power tools to assemble and disassemble dies for service or manufacture of end effectors, jigs or assembly fixture requirements.
o    Design and implement Pokey Yokes / Baka Yokes to identify, eliminate defects and improve machines or tooling performance. 
o    Form tooling, stamping tooling, hand tool or manual processes
o    Experience in changeover, setup of tooling
o    CMM Operation would be a positive.
