Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is supporting a client that is a full-service product development, engineering and manufacturing partner offering manufacturing solutions for the medical device, electronics, defense and industrial markets.

DESCRIPTION: TOOL MAKER      

POSITION SUMMARY: To build, repair and alter molds and fixtures of extremely complex and precise nature. We serve a span of industries including: medical, telecommunications/fiber optics, tactical, automotive, consumer goods and other electronics. We are currently implementing our ISO 9001 certification as well as our 13485 for Medical.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work cooperatively with all employees
  • Take responsibility to see jobs are completed when due
  • Build and repair plastic injection molds within customer specifications
  • Troubleshoot problems with a mold and arrive with an action plan to correct the problem in a reasonable amount of time
  • Operate all necessary equipment in a safe manner in the shop with little or no supervision
  • Wear safety equipment that is relevant to the position or job being performed or equipment being used

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:        

  • Preferred 2-5 years technical CNC Operation/Programming Experience. Machines used Heidenhain Control, Micron and Bostomatic Precision
  • Preferred 7-10 years injection mold making in a tool shop environment
  • Technical mathematical skills
  • Ability to multitask, work on several projects at the same time without losing the ability to complete them on time and within customer specifications
  • Communicate with other departments and customers in a professional and respectful manner
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of several processes within the shop
  • Understanding of blue print reading
  • Basic understanding of Master Cam and Solid Works
  • Must own tools, measuring tools.
