Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently seeking individuals with training and development experience to work with our client in Elk Grove, California.  These individuals will be responsible, while jump starting the learning curve, and committing to the success, growth, and development of all employees.    

Position Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties Includes the following (other duties may be assigned or removed upon requirement):

  • Train all Team Members with on-the-job training
  • Fill in for other Team Members as required (trained and capable of running all operations in assigned area)
  • Generates and implements continuous improvement ideas for all ideas for training program
  • Perform daily Safety observations
  • Any duties or tasks that may be assigned to promote cross training or support for various areas of the shop
  • Provide leadership and direction to service functions to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure proper implementation and execution of all training goals
  • Analyzes unit-operating practices, such as record-keeping systems, form control, work area layout, suggestion systems and performance standards to able to convey to the trainee
  • Interpret/ administer SOP on the production line
  • Provide training and manage employee qualifications
  • Evaluate employee readiness and qualification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be a team player
  • Minimum 6 months of job related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proven record of good attendance and work history
  • Must possess ability to deal with multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Strong Leadership and communication skills - acts as the Supervisor in their absence
  • Must possess strong presentation skills with excellent oral and written communication as well as analyzing results and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions from groups or managers.

  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
