Performs various activities within the training and development area. This is the first level of specialist and typically possesses prior generalist experience or a degree in education and training.

MAJOR DUTIES:
Description of the major duties performed in this job.

Investigates training and development needs of employees in support of training needs analysis or other such projects.

Based on needs analysis, develops training proposal and/or other development activities designed to close gaps related to employees' knowledge, skills or behavior competencies.

Coaches managers and employees on training and development opportunities that relate to the identification of development needs and are consistent with Enterprise objectives.

Assists with the development of training and development programs as well as the delivery of such programs. May develop basic programs or straightforward job related skills training.

Also, is certified to deliver various courses developed within the Company such as Train the Trainer courses or those courses obtained externally.

Prepares instructional materials and job aids for courses.
Administers scheduling of training facilities, the reporting of training hours and other related administrative duties in the training area.

Implements training requirements related to Enterprise projects such as Performance Management or Succession Planning.

Specific Position Requirements  

Must provide evidence of expert level skills in Power Point. Strongly preferred... Experience making screen capture videos. Mechanically inclined. Example - should be able to explain how an Engine or Hydraulic Cylinder works. Additional requirements - Farming or mechanical (can be automotive) background is strongly preferred. Computer savvy is required. Strong Powerpoint and MS Outlook required. Some college is required. Video and photo editing are a nice to have. Hours of work typically 8am-5pm. Some travel required within North America, to factories and the field to video machines etc.
