Job Description

Training Specialist

This is an estimated 3 month temporary position, in Tacoma, WA and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions. We are among the largest staffing companies in the US for contingent/temporary and direct hire placements, and support many of the top rated Pacific Northwest companies.

The Training Specialist will design, develop and deliver training across the enterprise around leadership development, talent management, employee engagement / new employee on-boarding, performance management and change management.  The goal of this role is to help managers develop universal leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and deliver both in person and virtual training modules.
  • Design and develop visually appealing infographics and course materials. 
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and stakeholders to make sure training is aligned with current process/procedures
  • Organizes all training materials and supplies for classroom based training programs
  • Coordinates training rooms including regular maintenance, cleaning and scheduling.
  • Supports internal customers and management team by ensuring accurate employee training records.
  • Produces and distributes regular and ad-hoc training performance reports to senior leaders at all brands.
  • Update intranet and internal sites to ensure accurate information

Personal and Professional Attributes

  • Demonstrated skill in eLearning development applications (for example: Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, Animate/After Effects, Photoshop/Illustrator)
  • Experience in video and audio editing
  • Use of graphic design applications to develop visually appealing and engaging experiences
  • Strong presentation and facilitator skills.
  • Ability to work with employees and managers at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering training curriculum preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience in management of multiple deadlines
  • Experience with a Learning Management System desired. 
  • Experience designing training modules and implementation

Educational & Professional Credentials

  • BA/BS degree in information systems, computer science, or related field
  • Three to five years training experience to include Leadership Training
  • Three to five years’ experience designing, developing and delivering training modules
  • Experience with global training programs a plus
