Job Description

Drive truck to transport material and/or machines products/parts. May be required to load/unload truck.
Essential functions:
1. Drive company truck to transport manufactured parts, material and/or finished goods.
2. Check all appropriate vehicle fluids to include oil, water and transmission fluid. Check company vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.
3. May assist in loading and/or unloading of material. Secure cargo for transport using appropriate means.
4. Follow Department of Transportation guidelines and all Department of Motor Vehicles rules and regulations. Must be aware of weight limitations of truck and aware of load weight at all times.
5. Demonstrate ability to appear for work on time, work overtime when necessary, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, work safely, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accept constructive feedback, establish goals and objectives, and exhibit initiative and commitment.
6. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education: High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid California minimum Class A license required.
Experience: Previous driving experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate equipment and vehicles. Knowledge of Los Angeles delivery routes preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Working conditions: Manufacturing environment may be exposed to high noise levels, dust, grime and coolants. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
