1st Shift

Job Description

This position requires less specialized knowledge, it’s small in scope, and more routine.   The Unit Supervisor I, supervises unskilled production, maintenance, or warehouse employees.  The candidate s supervises simple, standardized, single functions.  Because the warehouse is a small operation, he or she has a very small number of direct reports.  Job duties includes:

  • Administering employee policies, practices, procedures, and work rules appropriate for the unit.
  • Coordinating departmental continuous improvement plans and activities
  • Ensuring that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction, and tools to successfully do their job.
  • Establishing employee environment regarding communications, feedback, and overall guidance.
  • Managing and controlling costs to stay within the department operating budget targets
  • Monitoring individual performance and takes corrective action including discipline, as needed, and responding to complaints ensuring the Company and employees adhered to the policies, practices, procedures, and work rules.
  • Resolving various systems, parts, people, or process issues to correct deficiencies, reduce costs, improve processes/performance.
  • Supervises the execution of departmental plans to achieve objectives in safety, quality, schedule, efficiency, and continuous improvement. 
  • Working with the Safety Team in meeting company standards and enforces safety regulations to prevent and eliminate injuries.
