Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking a User Experience Designer to work onsite at our client’s facility in either Urbandale, IA or Moline, IL.  This is a contingent position expected to last 1+ years.   

Must be available to work W2 for Volt, No C2C or 3rd party vendors and have the ability and willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally if requested.

Primary Responsibility:

As a User Experience Designer, you will be responsible for creating user Interaction task flows, as well as developing mock-ups, storyboards and prototypes to effectively communicate designs to product owners and development teams.

Candidates will:  

•Apply knowledge of usability, human factors, and UI processes to create intuitive user experiences

•Work with development teams to ensure that new features are implemented according to specifications.

•Assist team members in pre and post-development usability testing.

•Create and maintain project and overall system design artifacts.

Required Experience:

Experienced in the use of the following design and prototyping tools:

• Sketch and Adobe Illustrator

•Demonstrated strong visual design aesthetics

•Demonstrated use of typography principles

•Ability to translate customer needs into designs and present to technical team members

Special Considerations:

Candidates will be required to provide a portfolio of work as part of the selection process. 

What Will Make You Stand Out:

•Experience with InVision, Adobe XD, Axure, Balsamic or Hype

•Experience with agriculture, construction vehicles or similar industry

•Working knowledge of software development and testing practices

•Experience working with remote development teams

•Experience with Agile development methodologies
