Job Description

We are looking to hire a Junior Validation Engineer for our in the in the Semiconductor industry in Markham, ON for approximately a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Job Title: Validation Engineer - Junior
Client: A Semiconductor Company
Employer: Volt Workforce Solutions Canada
Location: Markham, Ontario, CAN, L3T7X6
Term: Approximately 6-month contract
Hours per week: 37.5 Hours per day: 7.5 paid time per day
Pay Rate: 33.33 $/hr + benefits available
 

ROLE: 
To verify and validate hardware products designed and developed in house using the standard qualification process developed within the platform interface electrical analysis and characterization group and participates in creating/improving all phases of test methodologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in defining/improving test plans/procedures.
  • Communicate with various internal departments to resolve anomalies.
  • Executing and/or automating the tests including but not limited to USB functional and protocol compliance analysis and debugging activities.
  • Participate in issuing internal/external releasable test reports.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • 1 to 2 years of related experience.
  • Ability in using electronic equipment such as DMM and digital oscilloscope, as well familiarity in reading electronic schematics and electronic component data sheet specifications are a plus.
  • Proficient in using all MS operating systems and the configuration/setting of PCs.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and organization skills.
  • Project management skills, and familiarity with how a PC works are an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in assembling PC from component level to system level.
