Job Description

**VP of Finance - Significant Aerospace-Parts Developer/Manufacturer**


As VP of Financial Reporting, you will be a key player within the organization, responsible for accounting, financial planning/analysis, cost control, asset management, and business decision support. You will report to the President, and collaborate with senior management to position our client for financial growth and efficiency, while ensuring that the company meets or exceeds its financial goals.


  • You will oversee the accounting and IT departments, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and effective financial processes, systems and controls
  • Work closely with senior management, operations, engineering and sales teams to improve the company’s financial performance
  • Oversee the monthly accounting close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financials to our corporate office, making sure that statements correctly reflect the company’s financial position in accordance with GAAP
  • Lead the development of the annual business plan and monthly profit and loss forecasts
  • Prepare financial analysis to support our customer quoting process and investment decisions 
  • Evaluate capital expenditure requests and validate the return on investment
  • Perform pricing analysis and audit to ensure compliance with the company’s pricing policy
  • Manage working capital with focus on inventory, trade receivables, and trade payables
  • Maintain internal accounting control and SOX compliance as well as support internal and external audits
  • Train, develop, coach and mentor your staff, creating a workplace that fosters teamwork and strengthens communication both in and outside of the department


  • Previous experience as a VP of Finance - accounting focus
  • Experience working in an Aerospace environment (preferred) or a controlled manufacturing environment (med device, auto)
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, financial accounting, and cost accounting
  • Accounting (preferred) or Finance Degree
