Job Description

Volt is seeking part-time experienced warehouse specialists to receive, inspect and test commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment in support of US Government stakeholders positioned across the Continental United States. This position will be located at our Clients facility in Edgewood, Maryland. with expected travel at approximately 5% to US and destinations. 


As required, receive, inspect, test and repackage, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and equipment.  In addition, the ability to review product Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPBs) and prepare deliverables in accordance to the IPB.  The warehouse specialist with assist the logistics lead by providing kitting support, inventory and quality checks as required.

Assist with program reporting as required by the clients project manager.  This includes work order development and submission, spares and repair parts analyses and reporting, equipment failure reporting and recommendations, and inventory reporting. 

Interface directly with original equipment manufacturers for external supply support or maintenance actions that exceed contractor capabilities.  Conduct equipment shelf life management, configuration management of software and hardware, and calibrations. 

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.


  • Load and unload trucks, receive materials, wrap, label, and ship equipment and supplies.
  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, calibrate, and perform quality control for equipment.
  • Complete inspections of equipment and open and track work orders.
  • Ensure compliance with all hazardous material regulations.
  • Conduct equipment inventories.
  • Complete all required training and maintain certifications.


  • Recent/relevant warehousing, supply, and/or maintenance experience.
  • High School/GED graduate.
  • Military/DOD experience a plus..


  • OSHA compliance experience.
  • Current 49 CFR/IATA dangerous goods shipping know-how and certification.
  • Experience shipping internationally using approved freight forwarders.
  • Certified in material handling equipment operations.
