Warehouse Manager

At least 5 years of Warehouse/Management experience

Direct Hire

Volt’s client is looking for an experience Warehouse Manager to join and lead their team. Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of direct experience managing multiple employees in a manufacturing warehouse environment. Candidates must also have hands on experience in the various warehouse functions, as well as working on the floor assisting and leading by example with all the daily functions.

Job Duties:

  • Must be able to supervise, coordinate and train a team of warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate shipping, receiving, kitting, materials transfers and order processing
  • Perform and coordinate effective and accurate customer order fulfillment on a day to day basis and promptly process shipments into the system for invoicing
  • UPS WorldShip, FedEx, Microsoft Office, basic data entry
  • Schedule pick-ups accompanied by any needed documentation, including required export licenses and related paperwork
  • Manage shippers to obtain favorable rates and arrange shipping for the lowest cost option consistent with customer delivery requirements
  • Receipt of incoming materials with prompt and accurate entry into the inventory system
  • Pull production kits as requested and accurately and immediately enter into the system
  • Accurate inventory control and data entry, cycle counts, maintain of records
  • Organize and optimize warehouse for efficiency and safety, ensure the warehouse is kept neat and clean
  • Timely RMA processing and fulfillment
  • Compliance and knowledge of all shipping and export rules, Haz Mat Certificates, TSA regulations, and other necessary transit regulations and documentation
  • Ensures administrative and regulatory requirements related to export licensing and compliance, and import compliance are met
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate month end flow
  • Interacts within multiple levels of the organization; to develop, manage and communicate schedules; and to identify and communicate risks
  • Improves efficiency, quality, and cost of inventory management to scale with the growth strategy of the organization

Qualification and required experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in shipping or order fulfillment environment
  • Experience with shipping/receiving and inventory
  • Prior experience in supervising a team of warehouse staff in a technology-based manufacturing company
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, self-starter
  • Strong planner and inventory management control skills
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds
  • Basic PC Skills, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Office
  • Must have a valid driving license
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
