Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a strong Warehouse Manager candidate with experience in providing materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services, all while having strong supervisory skills.   The right candidate will be a team-player with strong communication skills and diligence in their work and the ability to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.


  • Proven work experience as a warehouse manager.
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Extensive knowledge of Warehouse Management Software (WMS).
  • Knowledge of Third-Party Logistics (3PL).
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills.
