Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently looking for experienced Pick and Pack candidates in Tulare County for a well known manufacturing company. Candidates prepare multiple orders timely and resourcefully throughout the working day. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and follow all safety regulations and policies, as well as follow directions. Duties include assembling of different corrugated components to make a display, typically trays, shelves, dividers, and placing feedstock on displays.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Inspect machines to ensure they are mechanically ready for operation

• Operates any material handling equipment following safety guidelines 

• Work on both ends of the machine performing the loading of material packing finished product

• Physically pulls warehouse items by specific requirements 

• Inspect all finished product for any defects

• Ability to handle detail oriented work and perform tasks under pressure within deadlines

• Check inventory of shipper boxes, chipboard, box tape and glue, and restock as needed

• Uses RF Scanners and other electronic equipment 

• Housekeeping 

• Follow all General Manufacturing Practices 

• Follow all safety procedures and promote safety & safety programs throughout the facility

 REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• Must have 1 -2 years of recent warehouse work history

•  Minimum of one or more year(s) experience of machine   operating - preferred 

• Knowledge of customer palletization specifications and labeling requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred 

• Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions

• Must be detail and safety oriented

• Must be able to maintain good attendance

• Flexible to work overtime and weekends

• Team Player 

• Work environment may be warm/ hot (non-weather)  

• Noise level in the work environment is moderate or loud
