Volt Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Professional Warehouse Supervisor to help manage one of our clients high volume warehouses in the Sacramento area.  If you are looking for a long term opportunity with one of the largest Electronics Manufacturing companies then this is the opportunity you have been looking for.  

The Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of trained, un-trained staff and motivated individuals by overseeing the smooth running of the logistics, keeping an eye on the warehouse staffs, scheduling shifts and ensuring staff are property trained for receive, store, pack and ship a variety of regular and manufacturing component products. This role will work collaboratively with leaders in Sales, HR, Safety, Security, Engineering and Production for the purpose of supporting efficient factory repair process. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties Includes the following “other duties may be assigned or removed upon requirement arises”:

  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data management system.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing efficient work layouts.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees.
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs
  • Set objectives with subordinate
  • Develop production material supply strategies as it changes on business model
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints from production and customer
  • Maintain KPI metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement warehouse support improvements

Education and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Operations Management, Supply Chain management or a related field.
  • One (1) year’s experience in operations management, manufacturing management, Proven working experience as a logistics supervisor
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
