Job Description

The primary role of the Quality and Warranty Senior Manager is to manage the warranty program from a process, budget, and financial recovery standpoint.  This position will have warranty claim approval authorization, and will also monitor the dealer network’s performance as they work within the warranty policy. 

The position will also be responsible for product quality and reporting quality related issues to the respective factories and follow through to see that all issues are resolved and closed.  The warranty claims are also a source of identifying repeating quality problems, along with close working relationships with the field service team. 

The successful candidate must be motivated, a self-starter, goal oriented, and work well in a team environment.  Must have Parts Sales experience.

Major Responsibilities

Applicants must be personable, strategic minded and have Warranty / Quality experience in the construction industry,

  • Employee must be committed to delivering excellent customer service and driving a spirit of growth.
  • Manage warranty process and procedure, including Service & Warranty policy
  • Engage with dealer network for general systems training and also for warranty claims and warranty claim management.
  • Act as warranty administrator and execute claim processing, approval, and reimbursement of warranty payments to the dealer network
  • Recover warranty from suppliers including internal factories, where possible
  • Manage warranty expenditures and set budget annually
  • Develop extended warranty programs and support internal Sales & Service teams, generate a revenue stream from these programs.
  • Build systems and processes for warranty control and parts management best practices.
  • Monitor machine quality and leverage information from warranty system, field reports, and directly from dealers
  • Report product quality issues to the factory using the online tools available.  Follow issues to closure and communicate corrective actions to appropriate parties
  • Meet KPI’s for warranty recovery, processing time, and payment accuracy
  • Set KPI’s for dealers and monitor / report as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Industrial Distribution or related field
  • Knowledge of business principles and concepts
  • Minimum 8 years-experience in business development, sales and marketing fields in the US required
  • Proficient in English; Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet and other related software.
