Job Description

If you are a seasoned Web Developer and have expertise in deploying applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and are interested in working for a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, civil government, and cyber security markets throughout the world, then you may be the candidate we are looking for!

Our client is seeking a Web Developer to work for twelve (12) months from 8am to 5pm in Troy, MI.  The selected candidate will be an experienced Amazon Web Services (AWS) developer that can take customer requirements and design and deploy a solution.  The successful candidate will have proven experience deploying applications in AWS.  This position will support the deployment of numerous AWS environments that will be used to support complex lab environments used for training purposes.

Required KSOs

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration
  • Expertise in AWS with industry experience using AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.)
  • Experience with AWS Security (IAM, Security Groups, KMS, etc.)
  • Ability to design high availability applications on AWS across Availability Zones and Regions
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix and related tools
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Windows
  • Knowledge of application deployment and data migration on AWS
  • Expertise in DevOps scripting and tools such as Cloud Formation, Bash, Python, PowerShell
  • Experience using Jenkins
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analytic, organization, presentation, customer service and facilitation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Desire KSAOs

  • Web-based development experience (HTML, CSS, PHP, etc.)
  • Experience with Drupal
  • Experience with Totara/Moodle
  • Experience using and deploying applications within Docker containers Required Education

This is an estimated twelve (12) month temporary position in Troy, MI that is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions.  Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.  Position is subject to U.S. Government Contractor hiring eligibility requirements.  No third-party vendors.  Pay is commensurate with experience.
