Job Description

Build your career by joining the Procurement Business Office (PBO) team and help create state of the art, rich web applications to support and inspire the internal user population.

Responsible for the development and design of web applications and components. Design, code, test, and implement PHP/Database driven web sites and rich web applications.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues surrounding performance, response times, capacity and system limitations. Collaborate with internal business partners, internal technology resources (system, networking) and with external vendors. Maintain and update applications and ensure data quality, integrity and consistency across organization. Requires both front-end (GUI) and back-end development experience.

Key Qualifications Experience in designing and building web applications using PHP and Javascript. Client side scripting with Javascript and JS frameworks like jQuery, Ember.js, Angular, Backbone, etc.

Design and integration of web services Significant experience in defining and working with data interchange formats including JSON & XML SQL knowledge with Oracle, MySQL or equivalent, including: subqueries, joins, triggers, stored procedures, etc. HTML 5 & CSS 3 experience, including work with responsive layouts.

Experience working with a source control system like Git or equivalent. Experience setting up and/or managing a repository a plus.

Experience configuring & optimizing Apache. Able to troubleshoot networking issues, experience taking and analyzing network traces; load balancing a plus Understanding of secure coding best practices/code auditing.

Demonstrated experience in creating clean and highly usable interfaces and user experiences. Some UNIX system administration experience, including: Apache, compiling modules, customizing configurations, logging, [ba]sh scripting, launchd/cron, ssh, rsync

Application scaling strategies including caching, database replication, load balancing techniques, etc.

Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field; or equivalent industry experience required.

Additional Requirements Possess an eye for detail and the drive to produce products on par with external customer facing Apple products.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and willingness to share knowledge and tasks with team members. Ability to effectively represent our team when engaging with other teams including service providers, designers and management.
