Job Summary:

A Weigh Master is responsible for the supervision of the inbound and outbound traffic, managing delivery process of goods or services and the placement and delivery of purchase orders. This is a very high profile and responsible role within an organization, requiring someone who is extremely organized and can cope well under pressure.

This individual must possess great attention to detail, organization skills, and a strong desire and ability to work within a dynamic, fast paced environment with the expectation of the role consistently growing and expanding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Weigh incoming and outgoing trucks and direct incoming trucks to proper destination
  • Complete, enter, track, and file required paperwork for incoming and outgoing trucks
  • Compare & verify Organic Certificates, other certificates, product labels, tags, tickets, shipping manifests, purchase orders, and bills of lading to ensure accuracy of shipment contents, quality specifications, and or weights.
  • Process incoming apples and vinegar via Purchase Order Processing
  • Process bulk vinegar/juice shipments via Sales Order Processing
  • Assist in the validating and posting of Work Orders
  • 1st point of contact for walk in traffic to direct and assist
  • Assist with tracking of cycle counts on daily basis
  • Assist with Various job functions across the Supply Chain Structure

Required Experience, Knowledge, & Skills

Experience/Education

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Some combination of the following work experience:
    • Customer Service
    • ERP, data entry, and weigh desk experience in food manufacturing preferred. For Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Work Orders, Invoicing, and Shipping / Receiving

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Great organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Naturally energetic, positive person in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
  • Strong data entry/processing skills, ERP system experience strongly preferred
  • Strong math skills with the ability to make frequent accurate math calculations
  • Strong administrative skills with emphasis on being detail oriented
  • Excellent computer skills including intermediate MS Office
  • Proactive self-starter with creative problem-solving and excellent team-working skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and across all functions
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Budget/Supervisory Responsibility

  • Accept and verify payment for cash sales and customer payments in person
  • Manage Cash box
