Volt is looking for a Weigh Technician to help assure that quality standards are met for a pharmaceutical company. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get their start in the industry. 

Job Description:

This job consists of Weighing and Dispensing Sample Materials for a Pharmaceutical company. An Ideal candidate will have fine motor skills, attention to detail and used to repetitive activities. The environment setting is in a lab, sitting at a desk with a computer and weigh station. This is a production like environment where work is repetitive. This individual will be working as an individual to help the team as a whole meet qualitative and quantitative SLAs. Areas of the lab that a candidate will work are: Sample Weighing This is a weigh tech position so here are some things that would be considered a plus:

  1. Experience weighing small quantities on scientific balances (current position I am looking for is specifically a 'weigh technician' so this type of background is a plus)
  2. Experience in a laboratory setting (shows the individual has the ability to work with hazardous materials, familiar with safe lab practices, familiar with SOPs, etc.)
  3. Familiar with working in a regulated work environment and experience with following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  4. Understands the difference between a milligram, gram, and kilogram (ability to mathematically convert from one to the other and/or visually be able to identify such quantities)

Other key things we are looking for:

  1. Ability to multi-task
  2. Ability to prioritize
  3. Detail-oriented
  4. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
