WordPress Developer

This is an estimated 3 month (plus) temporary position in Bellevue, WA and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions. We are among the largest staffing companies in the US for contingent/temporary and direct hire placements, and support many of the top rated Pacific Northwest companies

This position’s responsibilities are to develop, manage and maintain public-facing sections of the web site as a key communications tool. This position is responsible for overall coordination, planning, development, and implementation of the external web site and will assume a leadership role for web audience research, editorial policy and content ownership. The position will collaborate with team members in Communications, Community Engagement and Technology to stay current with digital trends and audience needs.

Responsibilities: 

Plan, develop, manage and maintain primary sections of the web site and oversee content management of secondary and supporting sections the public facing web site. Update and maintain time-sensitive web material on primary sections of the web site. Maintain menus, indexes and directories within the site.  Archive and back-up content. Make recommendations to ensure we are meeting the needs of its digital users.

Develop editorial policies consistent with the direction and purpose to achieve and maintain quality and consistency in the web site product.  Develop logical and user-friendly protocols and processes for content managers to follow which support the overall goals of the site, solid web site management practices, consistency and professionalism in product.  Trains content managers in protocols, processes and maintenance strategies to achieve consistency in site management, experience, navigation and usability.

Compile and analyze website usage using statistics.  Prepare regular web traffic reports and other supplementary information reports to support planning and development of the site and user needs.  Obtain and analyze user feedback.  Recommend changes in editorial policy and site design.
