Workers Comp Administrator

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a Workers Comp Administrator to work for one of our clients in Santa Maria, CA. This is a temp to hire position. The pay rate is $17-$18/hour DOE. Hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administer Workers Compensation Cases and communicates status
  • Completes all required medical/claim reports and paperwork
  • Assist and coordinate employee Medical Visits
  • With medical guidance assess employees involved in a work-related injury or accident to determine return-to-work status and appropriate medical treatment
  • Assists with policy and procedure development and implementation and develops and manages wellness program
  • Monitors health risks in the work environment and takes appropriate action to reduce these risks
  • Oversees exposure/infectious illness follow-up
  • Administrative Duties to include; copy, fax scan etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years administrative experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Basic knowledge of Workers Compensation a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task
